November thru January Fishing Report – Fishing Coiba Island Panama

Fishing Coiba Island Panama

If you’re a serious fisherman, there’s nothing that keeps you from a great trip, even if the weather forecast isn’t that good. Mostly spending time fishing Coiba Island Panama this month. For those anglers who decided to make the journey here to El Rio Negro Sportfishing Lodge from November through January, they may have found plenty of rain, but they also caught plenty of great fish.Specifically, those who came fishing for dorado were not disappointed. At their peak in November and December, there were plenty of dorado for the taking, and since our guests were well-prepared for the rain and wind, they got plenty of chances to test their fishing techniques and equipment.

November

Since we had two groups, there was plenty of time to get in some great fishing. Despite raining the whole time, our guests were dropping the popper in the water time after time, and with plenty of hungry dorado surrounding the boat, our anglers were bringing them into the boat faster than we could count. So when it came time for fishing Tuna Coast anglers were definitely getting their money’s worth. In fact, along with plenty of dorado, our guests were also catching snapper as well. However, we didn’t contain our fun to just the Tuna Coast. We also had great luck fishing Coiba Island Panama, where our guests were also getting great hauls of tuna, amber jack, wahoo, and still plenty of dorado.

December-January

While the rainy season lingered into the middle of January, which is a bit longer than usual, the two groups of fishermen who paid us a visit found plenty to smile about at the end of the day. With waters that were warmer than usual, there were plenty of football-sized tuna finding their way into our boat as we hit plenty of Tuna Coast locales such as Cebaco Island and Punta Naranjo. And since the tuna and dorado were quite willing to get caught with the live bait our guests were using, fishing Coiba Island Panama proved to be a great experience for everyone.
